Hello,

We are the Watkins Family. We have been a part of the Model Family Mentorship Program since 1995. I am a single mother raising three young sons Joshua, Brian, and Anthony, and have a 20 year old daughter.

We were recommended to the Model Family Mentorship Program by the local Boys and Girls Club in West Seattle. As one could imagine, raising boys has been extremely tough. Being associated with the program and my host family has provided a lift of spirit.

My boys have been stimulated by classical children's plays at Children's Theater and enjoy whooping it up cheering for the Sonics! For me personally, the program has meant focus, support, and resources which have assisted me in first realizing goals that are possible and then working to attain them.

My host family is truly an extended part of our family. Their constant encouragement, understanding, and openness have meant more to me than words can explain. I would like to thank the program for being a positive support base and tool in assisting my family to never give up and always stick together.
